5 bucks for Lunch

It's that time of year again, and I'm old enough now to come right out with it. I freakin love first days of school. So many people are on campus again. And so many faces I recognize. I didn't think I missed everybody but I guess I did.

Last night I packed a lunch for school, and like an idiot I left it in the fridge. No big deal I thought and planned on running home and grabbing it anyways between classes. Instead I found 5 bucks. The universe has a way of rewarding optimism I think. Maybe it's out of pity--

so much optimism is misplaced. People aren't all good, our plans don't always work out. I'll be exhausted in a month....I know these things. I just don't care. I still think this is a good world, and today, I'm just so incredible happy to be here, and so happy you could join me.
